Dr. Mercedes Buruca

Dr. Mercedes Buruca founded ABC Learning, LLC on September 2021. He is a U.S. Army veteran where he served as a senior non-commissioned officer. Dr. Buruca is a self-driven professional and entrepreneur with portfolio in government and private sector projects with 22+ years of experience and unique combination of technical expertise, organizational management, project management, leadership, change management, training and development and operations excellence.

Prior to launching ABC Learning, LLC, Dr. Buruca was an independent education consultant for DaDa (online education company), held several leadership roles in SOSI International, DynCorp International (now Amentum), Kellogg Brown & Root, and the U.S. Army Food Service and Logistics Operations Program. Dr. Buruca has extensive leadership and management experience in education consulting, training and development, leadership and organizational change, business financial planning, business project operations and strategy, education consulting, project management, and flight operations.

Dr. Buruca holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management and a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management with Specialization in Organizational Leadership from Ashford University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona Global Campus in Organizational Development and Leadership with Specialization in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, with his research focusing on “Why Some Small Retail Business Owners in Texas do not Transition to E-commerce as a Business Strategy?” He possesses several military diplomas and certifications from the Center of Excellence School, Fort Lee, Virginia, Camp Casey, Korea, and Fort Hood, Texas. He is also TEFL/TESOL certified to teach business English, one to one, online, and to young and adult learners. Dr. Buruca is also a certified Change Management Professional. 


His teaching philosophy is that “Teaching is one of the most important professions in the world and as educators, we need to work diligently to produce ethically and critical thinking leaders for tomorrow!”
